Bridge The Gaps talks about The Recruiting Game Plan

HOUSTON - Bridge The Gaps, a registered non-profit 501(3)(c) organization is excited to announce a partnership with Stay Recruited and Luby’s to bring our active youth, The Recruiting Game Plan - A summit providing our athletic students with tools and resources to help improve their opportunity in college recruitment in today’s ever-changing college athletic environment!

Founder and CEO, Omar Durham shares a quick overview of what students and parents of student-athletes will learn at this informative summit:

  • Explain the NCAA Eligibility Center and when/how to register

  • Educate parents on the athletic journey

  • Discuss opportunities for D-III, NAIA, and junior colleges

  • Review academic eligibility requirements

  • How to schedule “unofficial visits” and when to start taking them

  • Teach student-athletes about the commitment it takes to play in college

  • Help families create a “Recruiting Plan”

  • Show student-athletes how to target the right schools

“We are excited to partner on this amazing resource that will be beneficial for ALL student-athletes - boys and girls; And for ALL sports to include but not limited to golf, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and football” Durham mentions.

Bridge The Gaps believes that both students and parents can benefit from this seminar. “The responsibility of recruitment is not limited to just your coach; both students and parents need to learn how to take an active role in the recruitment process” Durham adds.

“Bridge The Gaps will be sponsoring several students for the program but we are also accepting donations to help reserve seats for students in our underprivileged community” Durham concludes.

If your organization is interested in sponsoring a student, please make donations here, and in the notes include “Sponsor a student for the Recruiting Game Plan”.

The Recruiting Game Plan will take place at South Shore Harbour Country Club and will include a dinner with a guest keynote speaker. For more information, or to sign up, please click here as seats will be limited to the first 75 registrants.

If you are still on your journey, I hope to see you there!
