What’s Next?

Founder & CEO, Omar Durham sharing “life after sports” outreach and “what’s next” for 2022 graduates

Summer is here!

Congratulations to all our graduating seniors and the class of 2022! Your hard work and accomplishments have paid off and we couldn’t be more proud of you and how far you have come!

For a few of our seniors, college and college sports are in your future! That’s exciting and something to be proud of! Bridge The Gaps wants to wish you well and remind you to keep your focus! You are prepared for this but now is the time to apply what you have learned by way of your work ethic and study habits! We believe in you and we know: You got this! As your journey continues to college academics, know that we are here for you still if you need us!

Unfortunately, for so many of you, sports…as you know it, are officially over. Sports have been such a HUGE part of your life for soooo long and it’s ok. This just means there is now space and time in your life for new opportunities, new adventures, and a new direction in your journey!

Some of you have come to me and mentioned you were not ready for this. You had high hopes for a scholarship and now that your future has changed, you’re not exactly prepared. Most do not have a backup plan when the reality of college athletics did not come through. We are still here for you and here to help! Bridge The Gaps has always been about helping our student-athletes beyond sports and in life!

If you are unsure of your Next Steps or what to do now, or where to go from here, please reach out to us and sign up here! We are happy to provide some resources that may help create some conversations or thoughts and provide some guidance towards those next steps! These resources include things like a career assessment quiz to help provide some insights on what you might want to study, information for trade schools, and resume resources!

Enjoy your summer and when you are ready to look into those Next Steps, we’ll be here for you!

Remember: You’re still on your journey!
